Meet Carole
As both an educator and a parent, I have seen firsthand how executive functioning challenges can impact a child's success in school, at home, and in everyday life.
For many years, I have worked as a literacy interventionist, supporting students with diverse learning needs in elementary school settings. Throughout my career, I have noticed a growing trend of neurodiversity in our classrooms, including students with ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, executive functioning challenges, and other learning differences. While academic support is important, I have seen that many students struggle not because they lack intelligence or ability, but because they need explicit instruction in skills such as organization, planning, time management, task initiation, self-monitoring, and study strategies.
My passion for executive function coaching is also deeply personal. As a mother, I have experienced the challenges that ADHD and executive functioning difficulties can bring to education, family dynamics, and daily routines. Watching a child work hard while still struggling to stay organized, manage responsibilities, and navigate school expectations has given me a unique understanding of both the student and parent perspectives.
These experiences inspired me to return to graduate school to further my knowledge and develop specialized skills that would allow me to better support students and families. My goal was not only to grow professionally but also to become a stronger advocate for the students I work with every day.
Through executive function coaching, I help students build practical strategies that increase independence, confidence, and success both inside and outside the classroom. I also work closely with families, providing resources, guidance, and support to help create systems that work in the home environment.
I believe that every student has strengths worth celebrating. Sometimes they simply need the right tools, strategies, and support to unlock their potential. My mission is to help students understand how they learn best, develop skills that will serve them for life, and empower families to navigate the challenges of executive functioning with confidence and hope.
I am excited to partner with students and families on this journey and help them build the skills they need to thrive.
